Benedormiens Castle
Benedormiens Castle, the origin of the village of Castell d'Aro, appears documented for the first time in 1041, when the religious authorities, the nobility and the knights of the region handed over the custody of the castle at the Monastery of Sant Feliu de Guíxols with the obligation of protecting the whole area of Vall d'Aro against attacks by Muslims.
