The Generalitat rewards the Kosidlo Apartments and the S'Agaró Hotel

The Generalitat de Catalunya has awarded the Touristic Medal to Peter Kosidlo, the owner of Platja d'Aro's Kosidlo Apartments, for his 40 years of dedication to the sector. The S'Agaró Hotel was also presented with a Touristic Diploma in recognition of its work in the field of quality. On the other hand, the Castell–Platja d'Aro and S'Agaró Business Association also awarded prizes in recognition of the personal and professional careers of two people with close ties with the town. The Moniato d'Or ("Golden Sweet Potato") rewards someone from outside the town who has become its standard-bearer, while the Castanya de plata ("Silver Chestnut") rewards a local person who has pioneered and furthered touristic and commercial activities. This year's winners were Dominico Giufre and Stantley M. N. Bouana, respectively.
